Baby Girl and I got home just after 4:00pm today. Immediately we all got dressed for FAMILY PICTURES with my friend, Kristen! I had scheduled them almost a month ago, before I knew we'd be getting Baby Girl. Kristen was so awesome, giving us extra time to "adjust" to life with FIVE KIDS!
Thanks for the prayers. I will try to post some "creative" pictures, like I did of Baby D here and here, sometime tomorrow.
YAY!!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see them pics.
How do you feel?
Oh how exciting... The unchartered territory of a brand new baby. All the holding you get to do. Just the smell alone will send you into a dozen different smiles and wonders. I also cannot wait to see the new precious bundle of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to me to think that you are the one spending the VERY IMPORTANT moments of her life with her. You are the one getting to cuddle her and snuggle with her breathing in the new life smell!
hahaha it always makes me want to call our agency and tell them to bring me another baby but I have made a commitment and feel like it is God to wait until we fully adopt Bear or know what is going on in his case. But my day is coming AGAIN and I am excited!!!
Praying for you guys! Can't wait to get more updates!
ReplyDeleteI'm normally a lurker here, but after reading your last few blogs, I felt compelled to comment.
ReplyDeleteI guess I should introduce myself. I'm Kristi, a friend of Amanda's and a fellow Lyon alum (class of '97). I've been keeping up with your story through Amanda and Stephanie and I wanted you to know I've got a lot of people praying for you and your family.
More importantly, I wanted you to know that, after reading your blog, I am convinced you are following hard after God. I cannot imagine what your life must be like, but I also cannot imagine anyone more capable of living this life than you are. Clearly He has called you "for such a time as this." The scriptures you referenced in your previous blogs are confirmation straight from the Father's heart. It is my prayer that you will remember this confirmation whenever you question this choice. Although I'm sure things will not be easy, rest assured that you are securely in His will.
Thank you for being so open in sharing your life with lurkers like me. May God continue to bless you and your family. Know that you have a lot of folks in Arkansas praying the power of heaven over your family.
In Him,
Kristi
