I just had to post a quick update and tell you all how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our Pediatrician! This afternoon I took Baby Girl to the PEDS for a newborn check up. She weighed 5 lbs 7oz! Our doctor said she thought she looked excellent, despite what she went through while in the womb.
After I asked the bazillion questions I had (which I always have and our pediatrician always takes time to answer), I was asking about switching her formula to the same kind as Baby D. It would just make life so much simpler for us. I mentioned that we didn't have a WIC appointment until the middle of December.
To make a long story shorter, she GAVE us 4 cans of formula and said if we need more before our WIC appointment to just call back. Amazing!
Each time I see our pediatrician I'm reminded that we are so blessed to have someone who believes in our Lord to care for our children! She loves on them, cares for them, and gives them the same care she would give her own children!
She is priceless!
Sometimes great dr's are definitely hard to come by.
ReplyDeleteI am just going to throw this out there, you may have even already tried... we have had to do this before too. Usually if you tell the WIC people that you are a foster parent with a new baby you need to add to WIC then they WILL get you in almost immediately (and if you have the smart chip card then they have to give you two separate cards b/c the children are not related... such a mess)! Again that is how it works here I have found out after waiting a month to get it for one of our boys. Wish you were closer I have tons of unopened cans here I would give to you. Bear stopped drinking as much. I usually give it to our agency for more families.
Blessings
Just another confirmation that you are doing exactly what God wants! And so he is going to provide!
