I say that to tell you that lately, God has brought the same thing to my attention several times, from several different sources. These people are not related in any manner, other than being people that know me, and yet they seem to be speaking the same material into my life. I have yet to figure out what God is trying to tell me. I know it must be important since He's used 3 different people and as many different interactions to get this stuff in front of me.
Somewhere, I am missing what He is trying to tell me. I guess I'll just watch, re-read and pray about it until it comes into focus. I praise Him for being so patient as my inept mind tries to grasp what He is obviously yelling in my direction. I could take a few guesses, but that would be all that they are, guesses. The one thing I have figured out about my Creator is that when He wants me to see something, He makes it abundantly clear. I always walk away from the encounter knowing what He has said and what I am suppose to do. Sometimes, I'm suppose to pray and wait. Other times, I am only suppose to take one tiny step before I await His direction once more. No matter what the message, He always promises to make His ways known. He always allows me to see His purpose, and I am ALWAYS baffled that He chose me.
At any rate, here is what He has been putting in front of me lately. The first time I saw it, was on my best friend Amanda's blog. Then, my friend Emily suggested that we watch the video series in our 10th grade Sunday School class. If that wasn't enough, just this morning, I received and email from another friend with this exact material (condensed, of course). Take a look at it and tell me what God is saying to you through this very interesting video. It takes about a minute for Louie to get started, but bear with him. Also, I'd recommend checking out the entire 2 part series from your library. Trust me, it's worth it.
That is just, like, TOTALLY cool!
ReplyDeleteI am doing some more research on that stuff. I am fascinated.
I love when science proves our faith.
Love the baby booty. Whenever my girls' little butt cheeks stick out of their bathing suits, it makes me wanna bite 'em.
Baby booties are the best!! :D
Have a great evening!
Her "Lilly" leg is her right leg that ended up getting flesh and muscle eaten from the gangrene. So, yes, it is a result of the prematurity/almost needing to be amputated.
ReplyDelete(i will work more on part 8 of the story...just liked ending on 7 since it's the number of completeness...ya know)
Caitlyn has named it a special name and we refer to it as that. Please ask me any question you'd like... i don't mind them and i am open to talking about anything. That's what God has planned for us to do when he made lilly leg.
I avoided watching this video until it came at me from a couple of different angles, too. I don't know either what God is trying to get across to us other than that He is holding it all together. Sometimes, I feel like an old blanket that if you pull the right loose thread could all unravel. But, the truth is, God is weaving my life and He is stronger than I give Him credit for.
ReplyDeleteMichael showed this to us during his Wednesday night bible study a few weeks ago and I was facinated. I've told several people about it. It's funny...Courtney tried to tell me we are held together by tiny crosses (but she called it Laminant and we told her that's the kitchen floor). I apologized to her and marveled at her learning and trying to tell us. Just when I think God can't get any cooler - even saying that sounds wrong so maybe I need to say it this way, "Just when I think I can't learn anything cooler about our God" - something like this comes along.
ReplyDeleteIt also calls into question all of those people who say that we design our own stuff. Really? So long before we even knew what a cross was, God was using it to put us together and then a bunch of years later (I suck at math, okay?), He has man make a cross that is really used for evil and then a bunch more years later, science discovers we're put together by that same cross? Yeah...we make our own stuff. Right!
Wow!! I just was checking my e-mails and went on Chris and Lindy's blog...which led me to read Beth and Matt's blog, then led me to this one!!! What a blessing!! Thanks for sharing!!!
