You know what happens when you say that you will NEVER, EVER do something, right?
God gets humorous.
(Okay, God's always been humorous, but He really shows His sense of humor when we are adamantly opposed to something that is so clearly within His control. Which, in fact, is everything. I get such a kick out of people who think that God doesn't appreciate humor. HELLO? He invented it. If you don't believe me, come to my house for 24 hours. I guarantee you'll either laugh with us or laugh at us. Either way, you're laughing.)
(Wow, tangent much?)
(Anyway.....)
Not only have I formerly driven a mini-van, I've also driven a big, red beast.
However, I no longer drive either of those things now. Both of those could be percieved as cool, or...perhaps, in light of our most recent purchase, even mini.
Nope, there is nothing mini about our newest ride.
Nothing at all.
I like it! I suppose we are holding out a couple more years before we go "big." Figure we can squeeze one one more kid in the mini-van.
ReplyDeleteBut trust me... I have been oogling those big beasts from afar.
Hey, I with Beth! You just beat us to it.
ReplyDeleteI love it. I would also love to be able to fill one of those up. I guess I should focus on baby steps. We are at SUV now so I guess mini van is next.
ReplyDeleteWoo! Hoo! Great purchase. You have officially joined the ranks of the "extra-large family".
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE our 15 passenger Ford 350 XLT!
We had a 1991 Ford 15 pass. that we drove until 2004. With 185,000 miles on it already, we took a 3 week cross country road trip from WA State to NYC. It was such a great van that we had no qualms about taking it on such a long trip.
We sold that in 2004, and I saw it driving around town just this last summer. I'm sure it has close to 250,000 miles on it.
In 2004, we upgraded to a 2002 Ford 15 pass. 350 ... only because we wanted to take more cross country road trips. We have now been to 36 states with our kids.
Behind our "Clifford the Big Red Van" we pull a tent trailer that opens up to 25' and sleeps 9 of us.
Good choice on vans! Excellent decision! LOTS of room to keep growing your family. :) We got our first 15 pass. shortly after #6 was born.
mama of 13
well, i'll be honest, i definitely didn't expect that. LOL!
ReplyDeleteno, you're not a mini-van mom...you're a mega-van mom :-)
never thought I'd live in an RV haha! I'm sure one day I'll be driving one of those too.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend and I often remind one another, "Never say 'Never' to God." :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new van... with 6 carseats, I'm sure it will be nice to have some extra space for a while.
I'm so jealous! We max out our van, and can't take friends anymore. I keep suggesting to hubs that we move on up, but he won't even consider. We just need to add another kid and it won;t be a choice anymore!
