Homeschooling and Thought Gathering

I posted today on the blog my BFF and I blog on jointly.

If you're a "seasoned" homeschooler, or even if you're not, I'd love your advice.

I'm still tossing around the images I saw in the video I posted yesterday. I showed it to Luke last night and both of us just sat there, numb with shock and tears in our eyes.

I'd love to know your response/reaction to the video.

Today we had an Agency Review for Baby Girl. Nothing can come of the meeting, legally, but it allowed people from different government departments to hear Baby Girl's case and recommend to DSS what the next step should be. Everyone in the room seemed to agree that Termination of Parental Rights (TPR)/Adoption is the best approach. The social worker will recommend such at our court hearing on February 9th.

Needless to say, I'm super excited. However, I pray for God's will for Baby Girl's life, above all else. I know that He has crafted her for His purpose and that where ever her forever home is, she will always be my baby.

  1. I haven't checked out your other blog yet, I'll do that soon.

As for the video, I can't bring myself to watch it. I can image how bad it is and b/c I am so affected by images of suffering, I'll have to guard my mind a little. Not to say I am unaware of the horrors out there. I feel so helpless... you know, I wish I was super woman with a castle to foster all the needy children in the world. When I think about starving children and true suffering, my heart cries out "come, Lord Jesus, come!"

And as for Baby Girl... yay! I hope by fall you'll get to call them their REAL names on here.

  2. I will check out your joint blog after I leave you a comment.

The video broke my heart. How could it not?!? I watched it from Emily's blog Tuesday morning, and I am still seeing those images in my head constantly.

Now, Michael's video is a whole other topic-huh-lol! I have had to watch it about 8 times tonight, and still laugh every time. The kids love it! Sorry to get off topic!

I am super excited to see what takes place over the next few weeks concerning baby girl. I hope and pray that she remains in your loving care-permanently!-But I also realize that God is in total control no matter what happens!

    Love Ya Bunches!

    ps-My blog is public now!

  3. (Beth doesn't need to watch the video to be affected by the suffering. Her heart is already as big as gold.) I agree, COME, LORD JESUS, COME!

That video has touched so many people in our sphere of influence already. What will come of it, I don't know? But I pray that those children's sufferings will not be in vain. God is using it as a powerful message to us to unite and seek His will.

  5. I am finally getting around to posting what I thought about the video...While the suffering was unbearable, I thought it really showed the providential hand of God...how He led that group to that spot at that very time to save those children...and how those children are now loved for and cared for far better than they would have ever before. He really does see all and take care of all!
