A guessing game

On Saturday our family took a fun little day-long adventure to see a very special friend. Can you guess where we went? Here's a really bad hint:

Everyone had a fantastic time "hiking," laughing, jumping, running and seeing our good friend. Well, almost everyone....

If you already know then NO GUESSING. If you guess and didn't already know you'll win something special, like 697 Beaver points. Which are worth absolutely nothing except bragging rights.
