There have been times when people questioned why we wanted to foster and then adopt.

And other times that they questioned why we would take two more children, so close in age, when we already had our "own" kids.

Some have questioned how these two little ones would feel, having a sibling with a birthday so close to theirs.

And it's true that they have to share a lot of toys, share a lot of Mommy's lap, share a lot of their time, share their snacks and often their socks and shoes.

But I think that when they are able to talk and articulate themselves clearly...

...they will be able to tell you...

...that there's
nothing like having a "twin."
(A special thanks to my friend Paige who took all these photos! Thanks, Paige!)
those are some precious pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen we adopted we created 2 sets of "virtual twins". Our 2 little bio. boys are paired up perfectly with our 2 little African beauties. So precious. Even their personalities match up. The older 2 (now age 10 & 11) are both quiet, sensitive artists. The younger 2 (both age 8) are both active, crazy, daring bundles of energy. Much fun to have 2 sets of virtual twins. And, as you did ... we had a set of "real twins" first, and knew how fun it could be. We weren't scared of the "twin thing".
ReplyDeleteHope your day is BLESSED!!!

ReplyDeleteI like that you have a set of virtual twins. It gave me twice the amount of cuddly newborns to whisper to. :)
