Sort of Party Pics & Some Everyday Solutions

I still have not managed to get the pictures from my Mom's camera from the twins' birthday. However, my friend Beth took some fabuloso pictures from Aaron's birthday party. Click here to jump over to her blog and check them out. I would have stolen them straight from her blog, but she uses some high-tech anti-photo stealing program called Flicker. Anyway, I know you will love these pictures, and I'm only slightly jealous of her super nice camera. Okay, more than slightly.

Anyway, their "Little Man" is just 3 days older than Aaron, so we had a joint birthday party for our boys. We met the Hauts in our foster parent classes. It was clearly a God thing that both of our families chose to attend that fostering series and our friendship has been the greatest blessing throughout this journey. You can go to her blog by clicking here (But you only have my permission to go there if you promise to check our Aaron's birthday pictures as well. Got that? Okay. Good.)

Moving right along....

I subscribe via email to P&G Everyday Solutions. It's a nifty publication delivered straight to my inbox with coupons and money saving tips in the mix. A mother's dream, right? Well....sometimes.

This past week I received this offer:

While I'm sure the marketing team at P&G is top notch, I'm gonna have to bust them on this one. Click on that pic and make it nice and large, then read the description of Always Infinity Maxi Pads.

Thaaaaaaaats right. This little beauty can absorb up to "TEN TIMES ITS WEIGHT." To top it all off, they even claim that "You might forget you're wearing a pad." Ew. I sure hope that isn't something I'd forget.

I think they missed the mark on this marketing strategy. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

  2. I loved it when one of the feminine product companies had the slogan:

    Have a happy period.

    Can you say oxymoron......

The pictures were beautiful. And don't covet your friends camera too much. Covet her skills! She has some great ones. Saying her camera takes good pictures is like saying your mouth gives nice compliments ;) he he

Elizabeth's baptism was beautiful, as well. I loved the part where you described her little feet treading the water. So much symbolism to be made there...... beautiful.

  3. FYI: You can still steal my photos via copy and paste methods if you want to :-) I'd email them to you, but my hubby still hasn't gotten my email set on my new computer, and the photos are on there. Hopefully soon.

Oh, and I love Steph, who has done wonders for my growing photography ego. Of course, I don't post the ugly photos, of which there are plenty.

  4. I love the pictures. They are both so stinkin' cute!

P.S. I've been meaning to ask you this for a while, and I thought of it again after looking at your friend's page. How did you two get those super cool customized "banners" aat the top of yrou pages with yoru children's pictures and fun fonts? I'm computer illiterate, but I want to make my page cooler. :)
