In 2004 it jumped to 67%.
In 2006 it rose again to 80%.
In mid-2008 it climbed to a staggering 83% of our household.
By the end of 2008, when I thought it couldn't possibly get any higher, it rose to an all time high of 86%.
In 2010 it fell just a bit to 75%.
In mid-2012 it was 56%.
Today, a milestone in our home, has lowered it to the lowest ever at 33%!!! Yipppeee!
In 10 years it's not been even in the neighborhood of the 30s until today, which brought me a glimmer of hope, people.
If you can guess what these percentages are referencing, I'll mail you a paper copy (or buy you the Kindle or Nook copy if you live outside the continental US) of the Jesus Storybook Bible, our family's favorite story time Bible.
* I have not been compensated by the Jesus Storybook Bible or Zonderkids for this post, I simply love this Bible.

I'm gonna guess that it's the number of butts you are responsible for wiping. ;)
ReplyDeletei don't think i'm right. but the guess that i can think of is percent of children still in diapers. :) email: amoschel@msn.com
ReplyDeleteDiaper bill
ReplyDeleteLooks like other's have guessed before I read the comments... but I say the number of tooshies you are responsible for wiping up after. And I say that is definitely a milestone worth celebrating!
ReplyDeleteJennie! You win! Contact me to receive your prize!
DeleteI hope its not diapers, because either you or Luke have some 'splanin to do in 2002...
ReplyDeleteI wanna know why I didn't get the text???
ReplyDeleteBottoms you have to wipe is my guess. *Love love love the Jesus Storybook Bible too by the way!*
ReplyDeleteDiapered bottoms! I think your percentages are based on children in teh household not total people! :-)
ReplyDeletePercentage of people in your home who wear diapers. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are responsible for wiping 3 out of 9 bottoms in your household after those 3 people have performed their biological functions. I'm hoping that the 33% accounts for yourself and the two youngest girls. If Luke is part of that 33%, it might be time for some serious marriage counseling!! Seriously, I got roped into teaching the preschool Sunday School at our class, don't you want to send me that Storybook Bible?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing diapers and that was before I read the above comments. The percentage of your family that wears diapers. If that's the case, some day it will be ZERO. And then you will do the happy dance. Trust me, I know.... after 23 years!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sure it has to do with bottoms getting wiped, but how about number of peoples taking naps? I can see you are goin' back to 2002 which is before E was born, so I am trying to think of things that you could've been doing too-besides wiping your bottom :)
ReplyDeleteOf course I would think NAP TIME is the silver lining in ones day, compared to bottoms needing to be wiped.
I ditto Cathy-where was my text?
