Das Not Funny! Friday: Confessions of a 3rd grade homeschooler

We finished up Elizabeth's standardized torture test about half an hour ago. As soon as we closed her booklet we flung our arms around each other and squealed with delight that she is now "officially" a 3rd grader. While I was busy packing up materials to return to the scoring center, she bounced off to her room carrying my iPod, unbeknownst to me.

Below is the video she made. My heart swells with so much joy over this precious girl. She's full of personality, that's for sure. Too bad she's a sheltered, introverted, unsocialized homeschool kid. ;)

  1. Too funny! That southern accent cracks me up. Tell Elizabeth we're super proud of her, and 3rd grade is pretty awesome. Also, do they make those sheets in queen size?

    1. Ha! I know, her accent is something else.

We got the sheets at Target. I'm not surprised that you like them. Noah might feel differently about them.

  2. My favorite part is the tour of the bed. Oh and the "I'm on the ipod." eye roll. Too cute! Congrats Elizabeth!
Congrats on Summer! I know when I used to teach that was just as exciting to me as a teacher as it was to the students.

    1. The tour of the bed is hysterical. Especially when she says, "I got a drink up here. It's AWESOME." It's also funny when she realizes she's videoed evidence of her drawing on her wall and she not-so-casually covers it up. That girl. Gracious I love her.

  3. Hahaha! She is too funny and way cute. I like her spunkiness and sass. I believe you have a rising actress in your household!
